Post Details :

Applications   are  invited   from  MALE   Indian   Citizens   for  filling   up  following   posts   of Constable  (Tradesmen)   in  BORDER    SECURITY    FORCE 

Note  -   (i)        Vacancies  are subject to change  (may increase  or decrease).

    (ii)    Vacancies  of above Trades are further distributed  amongst  all the    States/UTs  as  per  population   ratio  of  each  State/UTs.   Please  log  on  to  BSF  web  site  to  see  the  distribution   of  above  vacancies   as  State  wise  & Category  wise.

Educational Qualification :

Matriculation   or equivalent  from a recognized  University/Board  with:-

(i)    Two years work experience  in respective  trades;

OR
(ii)        One year certificate  course  from  Industrial  Training  Institute  of Vocational   Institute   with  at  least  one  year  experience   in  the trade;
OR

(iii)    Two  years  Diploma   from  Industrial   Training   Institute   in  the trade or similar trade.

Physical Standard :

i)            Scheduled     Tribes/ Adivasis     of    all   States    and    Union     162.5. Cms  76,,81. Cms  Territories  including Nagas-andMizos.                                                   
ii)           Men  belonging   to  the  categories  of  Garhwalis, Kumaonis,     165  . Cms     78-83. Cms  Gorkhas,  Dogras,  Marathas  and candidates  belonging  to the States  of  Sikkim,  Nagaland,   Arunachal   Pradesh,                          Manipur, Tripura,   Mizoram,   Meghalaya,   Assam,  Himachal   Pradesh,
iii)         All others  States and Union Territories.   167.5. Cms 78~83 Cms
 
Weight:   Proportionate  to height as per medical  standard.   

Age:

Between    18  to  23  years   as  on  1st  August,    2017.  Relaxation   for   candidates   of  SC/ST/OBC   category   and  other  special  categories   of   personnel  in accordance  with the instructions  issued by  Central  Govt. from time to time.

Prescribed    Application     form    &,    Admit    card   which    are   available    in   BSF   website   may be downloaded  and printed  out in fullscap  size (single  side) paper.   The application  form  and  admit  card  duly filled  up by the candidates  may  be sent to concerned RAs/HQrs,   under   which   their   State   falls   along   with   recent   passport   size  photograpbs, examination   fees  &  other  required   documents   within   30  days  after  publication  -of  this advertisement  in Employment  News

Method of Selection :

(f)        MEDICAL  EXAMINATION:-

(i)        The  candidates  will be medically  examined  to assess  their physical  & medical fitness   as  prescribed   in  the  eligibility   conditions    as  per  revised   uniform medical   guidelines   issued  by  MHA  vide  UO No.A.VI-1I2014-Rectt     (SSB) dated   20-05-2015.      The  candidates   must  not  have  knock  knees,   flat  foot, -ar  os       in or squint in eyes.

(ii)       Medical  examination   will  be conducted  after  the written  test.  Candidates  will be called  for medical  examination   in order  of merit.     Such candidates  will be called till such time all vacancies  in their respective  categories  are filled up.

(iii)       Candidates  having Tattoos  will be considered  as per following  instructions:-

(a)   Content:   Being   a  secular   country,   the  religious   sentiments   of  our countrymen  are  to  be  respected   and  thus,  tattoos   depicting   religious symbol  or figures  and the  name  as followed  in Indian  Army  are to be permitted.

(b)   Location:   Tattoos  marked  on  traditional   sites  of  the  body  like  inner aspect  of  forearm  but  only  left  forearm,   being  nON saluting  limb  or dorsum  of the hands are to be allowed.

(c)   Size:  Size must be less than  V4of the particular  part  (Elbow  or Hand) of the body.
