Post Details :
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. Employees’ State Insurance Corporation proposes to fill up the Teaching Faculty positions – PROFESSOR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AND ASSISTANT PROFESSOR FOR (1) ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, FARIDABAD (HARYANA), (2) ESIC DENTAL COLLEGE, GULBARGA (KARNATAKA), (3) ESIC DENTAL COLLEGE, ROHINI (NEW DELHI), (4) ESIC PGIMSR & MEDICAL COLLEGE, RAJAJINAGAR (BENGALURU), (5) ESIC PGIMSR, MANICKTALA (KOLKATA), (6) ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, GULBARGA, (7) ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, SANATHNAGAR, HYDERABAD AND (8) ESIC PGIMSR & MEDICAL COLLEGE, JOKA (KOLKATA) on regular basis by Direct Recruitment.
Eligibility :
1. PROFESSOR
For GENERAL DISCIPLINES:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential for Medical Candidates:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the said Act); and
(ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Essential for Non-Medical Candidates:
(i) A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline and
(ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognised University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India-“Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998.”
2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential for Medical Candidates:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the said Act); and
(ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
(iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Essential for Non-Medical Candidates:

Age Limit :
1. PROFESSOR - Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable up to five years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and the Government Servants, in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time-totime).
2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - years (relaxable up to five years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and the Government Servants, in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time-totime).
3. Assistant Professor - Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable up to five years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and the Government Servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from timeto-time).
Pay Scale :
1. PROFESSOR - PB-4 (37400- 67000) with G.P. of Rs.8700/- plus Non Practicing Allowance. (prerevised)*
2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR -39100) with G.P. of Rs.7600/- plus Non Practicing Allowance. (prerevised)*
3. Assistant Professor - PB-3 (15600- 39100) with G.P. of Rs.6600/- plus Non Practicing Allowance. (prerevised)*

Mode of Selection
(i) All eligible candidates should apply in the application format appended below. Applications received after the last date of receipt of applications will not be considered.
(ii) It has been decided to shortlist the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor on the basis of eligibility criteria notified by Medical Council of India (MCI) vide its notification No. MCI-12(1)/2017- MED.MISC./115698 dated 5TH JUNE 2017 published in the Gazette on 8TH JUNE, 2017.
(iii)Selection will be made on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board. The interview will be held at the following centres:-
How to Apply :
(i) Candidates must apply online through URL: http://central.esicmchsnr.co.in/applicationform1.aspx. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
(ii) After submitting the online application, the candidates are required to take print out of the finally submitted online application and retain the same with them.
(iii) Candidates are not required to submit to ESIC either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document.
(iv) A candidate should submit only one application for a particular specialty or post in a particular institution. If a candidate wants to apply for more than one specialty or more than one post in an institution or more than one institution, he/she should submit separate Online Application for different specialties or different posts or different institutions. However, if somehow, he/she submits multiple online applications for a particular specialty or post in a particular institution, then he/she must ensure that online application with the higher “Application No.” is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple online applications, should note that only the online application with higher “Application No.” shall be entertained
by the ESIC and fee paid against one “Application No.” shall not be adjusted against any other “Application No.”.
(v) Application once submitted cannot be modified, hence utmost care should be taken to furnish the correct details before submitting the online application.
(vi) Candidates are required to keep active the Email-ID and the Mobile Number during the currency of this recruitment process.
(vii) ESIC will send Interview Letters at the registered email ID of candidates.
(viii) Before applying online, candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her recent photograph and signature for uploading. The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only and the digital size of the each file i.e. scanned photograph and signature must be below 500kb.
(ix) Candidate should first scan their photograph and signature, ensuring that both the photograph and signature are as per the prescribed specifications. If the size of the file is 500 kb then adjust the settings of the scanner (or resize the image).
(x) Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the cldate and not wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on etc. (xi) Closing date for receipt of online applications is 02.04.2018 (up to 5.00 PM).
Important Dates:
- The crucial date for determining the age limit and other eligibility criteria shall be the closing date for receipt of online applications from candidates i.e. 02.04.2018.
