Applications are invited for one Project Associate (JRF) position in a DAE-BRNS funded research project. The details are as follows:

Title of the research scheme: Nanoplasmonic SERS Substrate Design for Trace Analysis and Detection

Short Description of the project: It is proposed to develop novel plasmonic gold nanomaterials and polymeric SERS substrate for SERS-based analysis of trace materials eg. drugs, explosives etc.

Funding Agency: Department of Atomic Energy, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Govt. of India.

Duration: 12-24 Months

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- p.m.

Minimum Qualification: possessing M. Sc./ B. Tech or equivalent degree with atleast 55% marks, in Chemistry or life sciences/ Biotechnology or materials sciences/nanotechnology or in related areas and passing of NET(JRF)/GATE/equivalent test.

Or M. Tech. in relevant professional courses.

Desirable qualification: knowledge of wet chemical synthesis of nanomaterials /organic synthesis and characterization with a strong interest in analytical chemistry.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for Project Associate (JRF) shall be 28 years.

Age relaxation: upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates

JRF may get PhD admission in fulfilling admission criteria of IIT Mandi.
